School of Communications and Theater (SCT) IT Office have developed about 20 WordPress web sites and maintain all of the sites as superadmin. Maintenance involves updating WordPress version, plug-in, and themes on top of the techinical support provided to the users.

Departments and programs usually approach IT Office with certain problems with their web sites. If their needs seem to meet with what WordPress can offer, we suggest them to convert their web site to WordPress. They also wish to create new sites for special events or individual faculty wishes to create new site for their own projects.
Usually if someone wants to update a web site more than few times a week, they need WordPress type of solution. Also if they want the site to be dynamic and wish to syndicate contents to more than one place, that’s also the case.
Work-flow
Sometimes more intricate work flow is needed. Here are plug-ins we use to establish approval processes:
- For Post we use Peter’s Collaboration E-mails. It works great except when we create groups
- For Pages we use Revisionary. It doesn’t work that great but it serves the purpose. We are looking into to see if there is a better plug-in for this.
