Freelance Photojournalst Lori Waselchuk will speak to Journalism Department Chair Andy Mendelson’s Documentary Photography class in a session open to all SCT students. Waselchuk’s work has been published in Time, Life,Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, National Journal, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, The Independent, and The Times (London), Der Spiegel and Liberation. In 2004, Waselchuk won the Southern African Gender and Media award for her coverage of war-related sexual violence in Liberia.
