Giving to SCT

Support Your School

Support our mission – Each year SCT relies on private support to upgrade technology and equipment, host student screenings, visiting artists and the Temple Theater season, provide scholarships for talented students, and afford faculty the ability to create and teach a curriculum that reflects the latest trends.  Your gift to SCT will strengthen our first-rate communications and theater education.

To make your gift online, please visit myowlspace.com/giving. Your support will ensure students and faculty have the resources they need today.

Alumni Participation Counts

Every gift – no matter the amount – to the School of Communications and Theater is critically important and makes a direct impact on our educational mission.  If you already support SCT, thank you!  If not, please consider helping us reach our goal of more than 1,200 alumni donors by June 30, 2011, by making a gift today.

The Annual Fund

Making a gift for the School of Communications and Theater Annual Fund is a simple yet powerful way to support the School by providing crucial resources for SCT’s most pressing needs.  Your gift will have an immediate impact on our educational programs, our students and our faculty.  Gifts at every level are significant and you will join a community of more than 1,500 alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff friends and corporate and foundation partners already giving back each.

You may personalize the impact of your gift by supporting the program of your choice: Advertising; Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media; Communications; Film and Media Arts; JournalismMass Media and Communications; Strategic Communication; or Theater.

The Scholarship Fund

Sixty percent of all incoming freshman and 69 percent of all full-time students at Temple require financial aid to complete their studies. Support for SCT’s Scholarship Fund ensures our best and brightest can continue their Temple education. This past year, more than $15,000 in direct support was awarded to our talented and deserving students from the SCT Scholarship Fund.

Matching Gifts

The impact of your gift may be doubled or even tripled – many companies recognize employee giving by matching their employee’s charitable gifts. Try our matching gift search to see if your company participates.

SCT Dean’s Circle

To show our appreciation for donors who support the school annually for three or more consecutive years, SCT invites our most loyal supporters to become members of the Dean’s Circle. Members receive special recognition in the Intercom newsletter and an invitation to attend an annual event hosted by the SCT Dean and the Dean’s Circle chair.

Temple University Russell H. Conwell Society

Donors making leadership gifts of $1,000 or more become members of the Conwell Society, our most prestigious donor recognition club. Named in honor of Temple’s founder and first president, the Conwell Society recognizes our key partners whose financial support strengthens our mission of providing a quality education with superior teaching and research. Conwell donors are thanked in the Intercom newsletter and are invited to a very special University-wide recognition event each year.
