Students come to Temple not just to take courses in journalism, but also to practice journalism. Our students hold staff positions at student media outlets like The Temple News and Temple Update, and take internships at WRTI, Temple’s award-winning NPR station.
Aperture Photo Agency
The Aperture Photo Agency is a student-run full-service photo agency specializing in images of Philadelphia. Students can offer stock photography for sale or advertise their photographic services.
The Temple News
The award-winning Temple News reaches all 40,000 students, faculty and staff of Temple University. Many Journalism majors write, edit and hold other jobs at the independent paper.

WRTI 90.1 FM
Many Journalism students get internships at Temple’s listener-supported, award-winning NPR radio station.
WHIP Student Radio
WHIP is Temple University’s student-run radio station, and exists to express the voice and diversity of the students. Now back on the map with a new studio in the Tech Center, WHIP will soon be broadcasting worldwide over the Internet.

TABJ won the National Association of Black Journalists’ Student Organization of the Year award for 2005-2006. The organization provides minority journalists with networking opportunities they need to start their career.
